Top Ten Tuesday: 10 Debuts I CANNOT Wait to Read

Week 3: January 15, 2013

This week's posting is all about the 2013 debuts we are anxiously awaiting for their publication date to finally get here.

Top Ten Tuesday is presented by Jamie at The Broke and the Bookish

Oh boy, this is a great one BUT it has been rather difficult to come up with my list. Here are the books I am sitting on pins and needles waiting to read this year:

1) The Elite by Kiera Cass

I have mentioned this one already once in my Waiting on Wednesday post but it bears repeating because I want to read this one SO MUCH!

2) Sweet Peril by Wendy Higgins

Another one I have happened to mention already once but who is not dying to find out what the next part of their story is going to be. After reading Sweet Evil again recently for a forthcoming review, it has added fuel to the fire!

3) Anything by Miranda Kenneally

3a) Things I Can’t Forget

Really these next two should really fall under the category of I will read anything by Miranda Kenneally. She is a favorite and my teens at my library love her books.

3b) Racing Savannah

Yes, I do realize I am cheating slightly by listing Miranda Kenneally as a number instead of her titles, but I am looking forward to both so much.

4) Requiem by Lauren Oliver

I really need to read Delirium and Pandemonium to prep for its release so I can refresh my love of these two previously published titles. :)

5) Belladonna by Fiona Paul

I have high hopes for this title. Venom does quite well at my library so this one has been on my radar since I first read about it.

6) Star Cursed by Jessica Spotswood

Anyone else like the first Cahill Witch Chronicles book, Born Wicked? I am anxiously awaiting the second book. Again, I may be picking up the first one in anticipation of the second one.

7) How My Summer Went Up in Flames by Jennifer Salvato Doktorski

My one my first loves in reading is contemporary fiction. I am anxious to read this new title and it is another one for my Debut Authors Challenge.

8) Taken by Erin Bowman

Let's start with the cover--to me it is gorgeous. I have seen this title all over the place so I bet there are quite a few of you who have this on their list too. :) This is one of the ones I have earmarked for my Debut Authors Challenge.

9) Prodigy by Marie Lu

Who also raved about Legend last year? Looking forward to seeing the story continue in this upcoming title.

10) The Elementals by Saundra Mitchell

With Vespertine and Springsweet, this is another title that I have been looking forward to read this year.

And a bonus one because I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to read this one:

The Title Yet to Be Revealed, Divergent #3 by Veronica Roth

It is due out this year so I am anxiously hoping and waiting to hear the title and publication date of it.
