This week I am featuring a New Adult title. I am quickly liking new adult genre as an interlude between the young adult and adult fiction I read. I had such a great experience in college and right afterward so it so it is nice to go back and revisit that time in my life through these titles. :)
April in Milan
By Beverley Kendall
Series: Language of Love
Expected Publication is November 2013
Summary from Ms. Kendall's website:
The best way to ruin a perfectly wonderful friendship?
Have sex with your BFF.
April Wheeler learned that lesson the hard way with her best friend, Troy Ridgefield. When Troy chalks up the best sexual experience of her life to too much alcohol, pride and hurt won’t allow her to contradict him. But trying to put the “incident” behind her and get their friendship back on track is like trying to “unring” a bell. Now April must decide whether to go for a sure thing with someone else, or go for broke and risk losing it all by reaching for something more with her best friend.
Last year, Troy crossed the “friendship” line with April the day devastating news turned his life upside down. Gone is the security he once took for granted and making the pros is no longer simply a goal but the answer to all his problems. However, football and a rigorous college curriculum don’t allow for distractions—and his gorgeous best friend is distraction personified. It’s only when it looks like April is getting serious with someone else that he realizes she’s worth whatever sacrifice he needs to make to be with her.
Unfortunately, the life-altering events of a year ago could take one more casualty…their relationship.
I enjoyed the first one in this series so I am looking forward to continuing on with April and Troy's story. I have Those Nights in Montreal--the novella in this series waiting for me to read.
