Summer Lovin' Day 5: Participation and Update Post

Visit Read-a-Thon Central for more information!

Let’s do book shimmies! We made it through the week-long part of the read-a-thon!!! Congratulate yourself and your new bookish friends on their progress so far. Did you get as much read as you wanted to so far? Have you changed your goals for the 24-hr marathon read?

I have to say that I have managed more reading than I expected thus far. Being off on the 4th definitely helped as I got a much-needed day at home to rest, read and spend time with my family. After being gone this past weekend at ALA, it was lovely to have it!

I am off again today (Friday), but we are helping with some landscaping projects and such so I'm not a 100% sure how much time I will be reading but a hope a good chunk at some point. :)

Progress on My Goals:

Number of Books I Read Day 1: 1 and partial of a second
Total Number of Books I Read This Week: 1 1/4 books

Number of Books I Read Day 2: finished Just One Kiss
Total Number of Books I Have Read This Week: 2

I also visited many blogs today before and after work.

Number of Books I Read Day 3: 1.5
Total Number of Books I Have Read This Week: 3 and working on my 4th

  • Riptide by Lindsey Scheibe
  • Two of a Kind by Susan Mallery

Number of Books I Read Day 4: still the same as yesterday--3 working on my 4th
Total Number of Books I Have Read This Week: 3

Happy Fourth of July! We took it easy yesterday instead of doing a huge gathering like we have in the past. Lots of reading time and time to visit others happened today along with spending time with my husband and daughter playing games and watching a movie. :) Overall it was a great day!

The weekend is almost here--are you participating in tomorrow's Greased Lightning' round? We will be giving away 24 prizes--one for every hour of the read-a-thon!!

  1. I see you changed your books along the way. Haha. Congratulations on reading 3 books and good luck with the rest~ :D

    1. I did. It all started because of my train ride home and not having one of my proposed read-a-thon books with me. I will doing them once I finish Two of a today (hopefully).

Thank you for taking the time to write a comment! I read them all and respond to them as soon as I can.
